This is a social web project, which has two main objectives. The first one is to promote the awareness of drivers. The second one is to show the relevance of the problem. The website looks like a parking lot, where all parking places are intended solely for the disabled people - they are filled with photographs, where illegally parked cars are shown. Statistics are always shown on the website displaying how many offenders had taken places reserved for disabled people. The user that sends a photo with an illegally parked car can to decide whether the photo will be forwarded to the police. There is also loads of useful information on the website, what data is needed for submissions and an explanation that the offenders could be held legally responsible for their actions. This social web project was appreciated and supported by the Lithuanian Union of Persons with Disabilities. "This project is really useful, so I welcome this initiative. I think that the website will draw attention to current disability issues and hope that they will indeed help to stop the offenders ", - said Arnoldas Riekumas, Project Coordinator at Lithuanian Union of Persons with Disabilities. |
